Update: March 9, 2020

After careful and deliberate consideration by AUA staff and physician leaders, we have decided to postpone the 2020 Annual Urology Advocacy Summit until later this year. While there are many factors that went into this decision, the health and safety of our members, patient advocates, partners and guests was our number one priority.

Over the past few days, the potential reach of the virus has changed significantly, making it problematic to accurately assess its risk and ensure we are positioned to provide a meeting that is secure and of the highest-quality for attendees. These developments, coupled with concerns about the growing volume of confirmed cases throughout the country, potentially displacing healthcare workers and stressing local healthcare systems were there to be an adverse event, have led us to this decision. Please note that Council and Committee meetings scheduled during the Summit will still take place via teleconference. Details will follow shortly.

We recognize the AUA Summit is a major advocacy event for the urology community, and many look forward to attending and expanding, strengthening and unifying the voice of urology on policy matters impacting our practices and patients.

In the coming weeks, we will share additional information about new dates for the AUA Summit, along with information to help you engage your lawmakers easily on the issues most important to you and your practice. We appreciate your commitment and flexibility and look forward to seeing you in Washington, DC later this year!
